Welcome To Group Exercise

Community Street Jam offers a full group exercise program. We offer Boot Camp, Cardio Sculpt, Hi and Low Impact Aerobics, Cardio Kwon Do, Step Classes, and much more! Just two to three classes a week will improve your cardio vascular fitness, endurance, flexibility, abdominal and core muscles, balance and can be a major part of a weight loss program.

One of the most unique classes we have is the X-Bike Program. X-Biking is done on a bike that was designed in the UK by real bikers who were looking for a training method that would simulate a real ride and enhance their performance on a bike. The X-Bars simulate the real feeling of turning by engaging the entire upper body and core muscles. X-Bike will work your entire body in a 30 minute group ride session. Burning up to 500 calories per session, X-Bike improves balance and coordination as well as help strengthen lower-back muscles. It is easy to learn and delivers fast results. It is music driven, effective and fun!

 

At the beginning of each exercise class is a "warm up". It will consist of stretching the muscles and increasing respiration, circulation and body temperature. The aerobic or cardio portion of class will be steady, non-stop exercise that will last a minimum of 15 minutes. During this phase of class it is recommended that you maintain 70% to 85% of your maximum heart rate. (Refer to the Target Heart Rate Chart here or at the club.) Each class usually includes some specific exercises that work on individual muscle groups, such as the abdominal or leg muscles. During this phase of your class it is extremely important to keep correct form. Watch and listen to the instructor carefully. If you do not understand a particular exercise, feel free to ask your instructor. Please make sure you bring a towel for class and consider a good pair of supportive studio shoes.
